On Jan 16th, Unit 367 participated in the MLK Jr. Day of Service organized by the West Atlanta Watershed Alliance. The event brought together volunteers from around the city to offer service in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.

Scouts and parents were excited to have the opportunity to give back to our community on this special day. We arrived at the WAWA Outdoor Activity Center early in the morning, ready to get to work. We were assigned to a variety of projects, including pulling ivy, gardening, clearing a trail, and carrying supplies to build a bridge.

As the day progressed, participants were able to see the impact of their work. The landscape was cleaner, the garden was tended and the trails were more accessible.

After a morning of work, the group took a break to enjoy some hot chocolate and snacks. This was also a chance to meet other community members who had come out to volunteer.

We are thankful to the West Atlanta Watershed Alliance for organizing such a meaningful event. It was a great opportunity for our scouts to contribute to our community and witness the impact we can have when we work together towards a common goal.
